Quars Citrí . Citrine Quartz

Energy + Abundance + Creativity

Citrine is a variety of Quartz characterised by its yellow, golden and orange hues, which can evoke the colour of honey or the warm glow of sunlight. Its name comes from the Latin citrinus, meaning “yellow”, and is related to the word citrus, associated with citrus fruits.

Its colour is linked to the presence of iron within its crystal structure. Natural Citrine is relatively rare and often displays soft yellow tones. Much of the Citrine found on the market is produced by heat-treating other varieties of Quartz.

Brazil is one of the main commercial sources of Citrine, although it is also found in other parts of the world, including Madagascar, Russia, Spain and the United States.

Throughout history, Citrine has been associated with protection, joy and prosperity. In different traditions, it was believed to have the power to calm the temperament, soothe anger and help bring desires into reality.

Over time, it has acquired names such as “the stone of success”, “the merchant’s stone” and “the money stone”, becoming a symbol of abundance, particularly in business and creativity. Its golden colour, reminiscent of sunlight, has helped associate it with optimism, vitality and positive energy.

In modern crystal healing, Citrine is associated with the solar plexus chakra, symbolically linked to confidence, personal willpower and the ability to make decisions. It is regarded as a stone that inspires optimism, stimulates creativity and supports new projects.

Like a little sun captured within a crystal, Citrine invites us to believe in our own potential, turn ideas into action and open ourselves to new opportunities. It symbolises abundance not only in material terms, but also in creativity and personal growth: the richness of ideas, the enthusiasm to embark on new ventures and the ability to recognise the opportunities that surround us.

It is recommended for workspaces and areas dedicated to creative pursuits, serving as a reminder of the power of initiative, self-confidence and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Citrine is November’s birthstone.
